AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition
The goal of AVAC is advocacy to accelerate ethical research and global delivery of AIDS vaccines and other HIV prevention options. Founded in 1995, AVAC is a nonprofit, community- and consumer-based organization that uses public education, policy analysis, advocacy and community mobilization to accelerate the ethical development and global delivery of AIDS vaccines and other HIV prevention options. Center for HIV/AIDS Vaccine Immunology
The Center for HIV/AIDS Vaccine Immunology is a consortium of universities and academic medical centers established by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under Barton Haynes, M.D., of Duke University. The Center's goal is to solve major problems in HIV vaccine development and design. The CHAVI tests new vaccine strategies to overcome key immunological roadblocks in HIV vaccine design.
Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery
The Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery is an international network of scientists and other experts dedicated to designing a variety of novel HIV vaccine candidates and advancing the most promising candidates to clinical trials.
Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise
The Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise is an alliance of independent organizations around the world dedicated to accelerating the development of a preventive HIV vaccine by shared scientific plan, increased resources, and greater collaboration.

Global Solutions for Infectious Diseases

HIV Vaccine Trials Network
The HIV Vaccine Trials Network is an international collaboration of scientists and educators searching for an effective and safe HIV vaccine. The HVTN's mission is to facilitate the process of testing preventive vaccines against HIV/AIDS. The organization conducts all phases of clinical trials, from evaluating experimental vaccines for safety and the ability to stimulate immune responses, to testing vaccine efficacy.
International AIDS Vaccine Initiative
IAVI's mission is to ensure the development of safe, effective, accessible, preventive HIV vaccines for use throughout the world. Their core mission is to support the development of preventive AIDS vaccines that are not only safe and effective, but also accessible to all people. IAVI invests the bulk of its resources in the research and clinical assessment of candidate vaccines against strains of HIV that are prevalent in the developing world, where some 95 percent of new HIV infections occur.
International AIDS Vaccine Initiative Report
IAVI Report provides comprehensive coverage of the AIDS vaccine field from the latest scientific research to policy, advocacy and community perspectives, bringing news and analysis, adding context and underscoring trends and gaps in the search for an AIDS vaccine. IAVI Report is published six times a year and has a global readership of more than 14,000 recipients in over 130 countries.
National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Disease
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases conducts and supports basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunological, and allergic diseases.
